As MIVAN Technology is gaining significance, civil engineering candidates are often asked about MIVAN Technology in their job interviews.  According to Mr. Hemant Patil, Director of Apaha Trainers and Consultants, (An ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company) MIVAN Technology is the future of high rise construction for quality, speed and timely completion of projects. This is the second blog in the MIVAN Technology series by Apaha Trainers and Consultants and in this blog, we will be discussing the Procedure and Work Cycle of MIVAN Formwork Construction (Part 2 of MIVAN Technology).

Procedure and Work Cycle of MIVAN Formwork Construction (Part 2 of MIVAN Technology)_Apaha Trainers and Consultants Pune India

The procedure of MIVAN Formwork Construction:

The construction procedure in the case of MIVAN formwork is quite similar to the traditional type of formwork. The steps involved in the MIVAN Formwork Construction are as follows:

1. Setting up the Wall reinforcing steel:

This is the first step, and in this step, in order to form the structure of the building, wall reinforcing steel is used, Due to this reinforcement, steel-concrete gets support till it reaches 50% of designed strength. Such types of steel mesh is Pre-casted in the factory itself and therefore they can be easily erected on the construction site.

2. Placing formwork:

Since MIVAN formwork is a ready-made one, designing and manufacturing of Formwork take place in the factory itself as per the required sizes of columns, slabs, staircase, beams, and other structural elements of the buildings. Formwork is assembled on the site by the Pin and wedge system. Once the job is done, Formwork can be easily dismantled from the structure once the job is done.

3. Pouring concrete:

After placing the Formwork, freshly made concrete is poured in it, in order to form the desired shape. Once the concrete gets dry and gains the required strength, the formwork is dismantled from the structure.

Work Cycle of MIVAN Formwork:

Day 1

The vertical reinforcement bars are erected along with one side of the vertical formwork for the entire floor or a part of one floor, as the case may be.

Day 2

The second side of the vertical formwork is erected along with the formwork for the floor.

Day 3

Reinforcement bars for floor slabs are fixed and walls & slabs are cast.

Day 4

Vertical formwork panels are removed (after 24hours). However, the props are left in place for 7 days and the floor slab formwork is left in place for 2.5 days.
